The Academic Fitness Program (PDF, 379KB) also called the AFP, is an individualized program designed for Madison College students on financial aid suspension who are pursuing reinstatement. Students are notified via their myMadisonCollege Student Center 'To Do' list if they are required to complete the AFP. Please be aware that completing the AFP is not grounds for automatic reinstatement. If financial aid is not reinstated, students are responsible for any tuition or fees until they meet the Standards of Progress.
Students on an AFP are required to complete all of their scheduled classes (excluding final grades of F, W, or I), achieve at least a 2.0 GPA for the semester, and complete the Mid-Semester Check-In by the required due date. The Financial Aid Office will evaluate student progress at the conclusion of the semester. If these requirements are not met the students financial aid will be placed back in suspension status. Students are responsible for submitting all of their AFP documentation to the Financial Aid Office by the specific deadlines each semester.
For online classes where the student and instructor are unable to meet in person to complete the Instructor Progress Report, please use these instructions (PDF, 367KB).
