Account Creation (Text Version)

  1. If you have never taken a class or been accepted into a program at Madison College, you must first create an account prior to activation. See Student Status for information and access to Account Creation process.
  2. From Step 1 of 4, enter Student ID or Social Security Number, Name and Date of Birth. Social Security Number is required for online Account Creation; those who wish not to disclose it must create an account in-person with photo ID using the New Student Account Creation Form (PDF, 889 KB).
  3. On Step 2 of 4, verify Personal Information and enter Contact and Identity information. Identity information is required to meet State and Federal reporting requirements and is in compliance with the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (Buckley Amendment). These items remain confidential. Madison College and the Wisconsin Technical College System use the information for statistical reporting in an effort to better serve our educational community.
  4. For Step 3 of 4, enter mailing address and Residency Information. Use the looking glass icon to look up the correct information. Addresses are validated at point of entry to prevent errors and ensure USPS requirements are met.
  5. Check the Electronic Signature box to certify that accurate information has been provided.
  6. From Step 4 of 4, complete the additional information requested for statistical reporting purposes.
  7. The “Process Complete” box will display a new Student ID number and confirm the creation of a Madison College student account.
  8. Select “Activate Student Account” to create a username and password to access and manage your account through myMadisonCollege. If you receive an error message upon attempting to activate the account, please close and reopen the browser window and go to myMadisonCollege. Select ”New Student Initial Login” to resume the activation process.
