Advanced Manufacturing Mobile Training Unit

Bringing the Classroom to Your Community

Real world technology training is available to you for free through a partnership with Madison College and the cities of Portage, Reedsburg and Waterloo. Funded through a grant from the EDA, the college is working with city officials and business leaders to provide practical training at the following locations:

  • Maunesha Business Center, 117 East Madison St. in Waterloo
  • Portage Enterprise Center (under construction; alternate training site is Madison College Portage campus, 330 W. Collins St. in Portage)
  • Madison College Reedsburg campus, 300 Alexander Ave., Reedsburg

We provide hands-on, cutting edge training opportunities in

  • Programmable Logic Controllers (using Allen-Bradley PLC programming)
  • Robotics (using FANUC Robotics and ABB specific equipment)
  • Manufacturing Skills Standard Council (MSSC) national certification
  • CAD/CAM/CNC (using MasterCAM, SolidWorks and AutoDesk)

Our regional partners, in cooperation with Madison College’s Center for Community and Corporate Learning (CCL) will work with your business or community organization to provide the training that meets your needs.

  • Classes are open to all employers or business consortiums or others in the Madison College district.
  • Minimum participation is six individuals; maximum is 12 individuals.
