Advising & Registration

Advising and Registration (A&R) sessions are designed to give students newly accepted into a Madison College program the opportunity to begin their academic career on the right foot.

Fall 2016 sessions have started! Once you are accepted into your program, you will receive an email invitation to attend an Advising and Registration Session. If you've been accepted and more than two weeks have gone by without receiving an invite, contact the Enrollment Center at (608) 246-6210.

Prepare for your Session:

Come prepared to Advising & Registration, so you can successfully enroll in classes!

Step 1 -  Activate your myMadisonCollege Account

Step 2 - Meet Course Pre-Requisities

In order to register for general education courses you must meet pre-requisites, so you need to have one of the following on file with the Enrollment Center.

  • Placement test scores taken within the last 2 years
  • ACT scores taken within the last 2 years
  • Transfer credit from other schools

If you have taken classes at another college, submit official transcripts for review and monitor your Academic Requirements in your Student Center to see any transfer credit posted.  Please allow 1-2 weeks for evaluation. All general transfer credit is automatically evaluated but if you would like additional credit, submit a Transfer Credit Evaluation.

Step 3 - Register for an Advising & Registration Session

Advance registration is required. Watch your email account for a link to the online registration form.

Step 4 - Complete the Checklist PRIOR TO Advising & Registration

Plan ahead and complete the Advising & Registration Checklist (PDF, 787 KB) before your scheduled session. Failure to complete these critical steps may result in blocks to course registration at your A&R session.

Additional Information:
