- Assess Skills through COMPASS (Computer-Adaptive Placement Assessment and Support System)
This un-timed, computer-based test is used in advising students to register for appropriate level courses. Testing is available at the Commercial Avenue Education Center.
The Architectural Technology Program participates in MAAP (Mandatory Assessment, Advising and Placement). This requires new students to complete the COMPASS test prior to enrollment. Advisement and course placement in English and math is done based on test results.Visit the COMPASS website for testing information, study guides and schedules.
- Activate Your Student Account
New students can activate their student accounts by visiting myMadisonCollege, Madison College’s student portal. After activation, students can access their Student Center for class registration, financial aid information, grades, calendars, and more.
The myMadisonCollege login page is also used to change a password or if a password is forgotten.
- Attend Orientation, Advising, and Registration Session
Orientation sessions are offered district wide for new, transfer and returning students to Madison College. Information about your orientation will be communicated through your Student Center.

- Apply for Financial Aid
Students accepted into this program are eligible for financial aid and should refer to Madison College Financial Aid (madisoncollege.edu/financial-aid) for information, estimates on potential awards, and tutorials on how to apply. The federal government posts the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA, fafsa.ed.gov) on January 1st of every year (our School Code is 004007).
