After Acceptance & Prior to Enrollment - Medical Coding Specialist

Complete the steps below to ensure your acceptance onto the waitlist or into the Medical Coding Specialist program:

  1. Pay the Advance Reservation Fee
Applicants will be notified via mail regarding application status. Applicants accepted to the waitlist must pay a $50 advance reservation fee (within 30 days of notification) to secure a place on the waitlist. After paying the advance reservation fee, students are placed on the program waiting list according to the date of application completion and residency requirements.

  2. Activate Your Student Account
Activate your student account. Note your username, password and Student ID number to access your Student Center and student email.

  3. Placement Testing and/or Transfer Credit
Take the placement test in order to meet pre-requisites for enrolling in classes OR have official ACT scores on file at the college. If you completed coursework at another college/university, check your Academic Advisement Report in your Student Center to determine if your desired transfer credit has been applied. If not, request a Transfer Credit Evaluation

  4. Apply for Financial Aid
Students accepted into a program or onto a waitlist for a program are eligible for financial aid. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Madison College school code is 004007. Be sure to familiarize yourself with Financial Aid Standards of Progress

  5. Attend Mandatory Orientation
This program has a mandatory program orientation session and failure to attend this session may jeopardize your enrollment into the program. When applicable, you will receive an email with further information.
