Couch to 5K

Couch to 5K:

This training program aims to prepare you slowly to run a 5K race. It’s a gentle introduction to getting the body moving, starting off alternating between walking and running small distances, and slowly building up those distances. After 9 weeks, you’re ready to run 5 kilometers. We will meet as a group once a week; two other trainings will need to be completed on your own during the week. Program will include general running basics, strength training, and stretching information. At the end, we will run the Turkey Trot race in November.

We will meet in Room 131 at the Truax Health Education Building.
