The Dental Hygiene Clinic, located on the first floor of the Health Education Building, 1705 Hoffman Street, Madison, WI 53704, is a teaching institution where dental hygiene students perform oral prophylaxis (cleaning) and other dental services such as x-rays, study models, topical fluoride treatments, sealants and oral hygiene instruction. These services are available to all students of the college and the community for a small fee. The Clinic takes appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For information you can call (608) 258-2400 between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:30PM.
The service cannot be construed as a complete dental and oral examination. The interpretation of x-rays and the diagnosis of dental defects are not the purpose of this clinic, but the information obtained by the dental hygiene student is available to the patient’s dentist upon request. A dentist makes the proper interpretation of any diagnostic material as required by state law.
