Madison College, in collaboration with the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin, serves dislocated workers in the area by providing support and training for re-entry into the workforce.
Services include:
- Work Skills Classes offered FREE to those who need to brush up on their skills in computers, math, reading and writing. Held Monday through Thursday, these classes are open to academy students, dislocated workers, or anyone looking to improve their workplace skills. Registration is not required, so come in today and get started!
- FREE Workshops are offered each semester. Workshops are designed to help dislocated workers with questions and concerns they have while they seek to further their education, change careers and explore new job opportunities. Registration is required.
- Free support groups, facilitated by Alfonso Studesville, Madison College Career Counselor. Attend a Dislocated Worker Workshop to learn about the steps, options and activities needed to participate in college classes and programs, or participate in the Wiser Older Workers (WOW) Support Group that meets Friday mornings.
