Employment Success Program (E.S.P.)

The Employment Success Program (E.S.P.) offers ongoing, one-on-one career and employment services to at-risk students. These services are provided at the Career and Employment Center (CEC) in Room A1003 at the TRUAX Campus. Students participating in E.S.P. receive individualized support to:  

  • Identify employment options
  • Revise your resume and cover letter
  • Practice your interview skills
  • Look for work study or student help jobs on or off campus
  • Seek internship opportunities
  • Explore careers through workplace tours, job shadowing, and informational interviews
  • Learn about job search strategies and Wisconsin TechConnect

Eligibility Criteria:

The Employment Success Program is funded by a Federal Perkins grant to serve students experiencing challenges to finding employment. To be eligible for services, students must be actively enrolled in a minimum of six credits in a technical course during the academic year and who is considered at-risk due to any of the following:

  • Past and/or current academic challenges that may include: GPA below 2.0 or on academic probation, dropped or failed any of our classes, not meeting program admission requirements

  • Receiving services through Disability Resource Services, TRIO/Student Support Services, Turning Point, or Tools for Tomorrow

  • Experiencing other special situations that make completing your program or obtaining work opportunities without intervention, support services, or accommodation challenging.
