Group Fitness Classes

Click here to view the times and dates for the Summer 2015 group fitness classes offered through Madison College Fitness, Health & Recreation.  All yoga classes will be held in room 131 in the Health Education Building.

Registration for classes can be done online by clicking the links below or at the Truax and Downtown campuses by going to the fitness center service desk.

Yoga:
 A physical practice that involves flow or moving with the breath series along with the holding of poses for balance and strength. The practice also includes learning breathing techniques and techniques for controlling thoughts and focus. Aspects of therapeutic yoga are also included. 55-minute class. All yoga classes will be held in room 131 in the Health Education Building.

Mindfulness Practice:

Join us to practice easy techniques for peace of mind and overall well-being. Chairs and floor cushions are provided. No registration required; just drop in when it works in your schedule. This is free and open to anyone who is interested. All classes will be held in room 131 in the Health Education Building.

Schedule: Wednesdays at 12:00pm.
  • 12-12:30 Guided Mindfulness Practice 
  • 12:30 - 1 pm: Silent Meditation Practice

Aqua Fitness: 50-minute water workout incorporating aerobic & strength moves performed in shallow and optional deep areas

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30am.  No pre-registration required, but participants must purchase a membership or day pass to participate in the class.
