FAFSA Assistance

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Assistance

A new FAFSA application is available in early January of each calendar year and is required to be completed once each academic year. Students are encouraged to apply early as some types of aid are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Madison College has a priority deadline of April 15 to allow adequate time for processing before the academic year begins. Before beginning the FAFSA, review the basic eligibility requirements required to receive federal financial aid.

On all of the U.S. Department of Education websites you will need to create an FSA ID. This will be used just like a User ID to confirm your identity and will replace any Federal Student Aid PIN you may have. For instructions on how students, parents, and borrowers can create an FSA ID view the step by step instructions from Federal Student Aid.

Online: For help filling out the FAFSA, see Madison College’s FAFSA Completion Tutorial or Federal Student Aid's video on How to Fill Out the FAFSA.

WorkshopsStarting July 1, 2016 - If you require additional assistance, please register for a FAFSA Workshop. Advance registration is required. Workshops are for Madison College students only and are held at the Truax campus.
