Welcome to our campus! Since 1931, the Fort Atkinson campus of Madison Area Technical College has been serving Fort Atkinson and the surrounding communities. In 1976, our current building on Banker Road was built. Additions and renovations in 2008 and 2012, transformed our building into a student-friendly environment with high-tech, state-of-the-art technology. Healthcare labs with computer operated sim-mannequins and a metal manufacturing lab that provides training in metal fabrication, welding and automated machining production provide students with career-focused skills needed to enter a changing workforce. Our TelePresence classroom allows us to connect with other campuses for classes and training in a realistic, barrier-free setting.

Our College Vision is to be the leader in accessible, affordable education that meets the evolving needs of our diverse communities. We value excellence, respect, commitment to students and diverse communities and making higher education available to all. Our campus serves our community and its students by providing both degree and professional development classes. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all students and members of the community in pursuit of learning opportunities. Students come here to earn two-year associate degrees, one-year technical diplomas, a variety of short-term certificates and high school equivalency degrees. Students can earn a liberal arts degree here and transfer to UW schools or other four-year universities. Professional development and continuing education classes include non-credit, short-term offerings such as:  Web Design, Google Analytics, Time Management, Feng Shui Design, Adobe InDesign, Dealing with Difficult People and more. View our programs, credit and non-credit classes online.

For those students looking to find outside funding for their education, we encourage regular review of scholarship opportunities. Some possibilities available to students at our campus include:

  • AAUW Second Chance scholarship (information available at fortfoundation.org),
  • Fort Atkinson VoTech scholarship (information available at fortvotech.com),
  • Fort HealthCare scholarships (information available at FortHealthCare.com/scholarships),
  • Madison College Foundation (information available at madisoncollege.edu/scholarships),
  • UMOS tuition assistance for students with farm work backgrounds (contact Victoria Pineda at 414-254-3042 for more information),
  • Vocational/Tech scholarships (search the fortfoundation.org website), and
  • other sites available locally and online.

We’re pleased you’re here and we look forward to assisting you in meeting your educational and career goals. Please stop in and visit our campus soon!
