If you would like to brush up on your academic skills before taking your GED or HSED tests, we offer GED preparation classes in Writing, Reading and Math and instructional support in our Learning Centers. You will need to attend a Pre-Test session for proper placement. Remember that classes are not required, but are offered tuition-free to help you prepare for, and pass, the tests for the GED & HSED. New students must attend a Pre-Test session. These sessions are held at our Commercial Avenue Campus, 2125 Commercial Avenue, Madison and typically last 3-4 hours. At the Pre-Test you will:
The Pre-Test sessions are done in-person, no appointment necessary. Please arrive by the start time, sessions begin promptly. No late admittance will be allowed. GED/HSED Pre-Testing dates can be found on the college calendar.
You can also study for the tests at home by using GED study guides available at your local library or online through the Madison College Learning Express Library. Although you can study and prepare for the tests online, all testing must be done in person.
