How To Apply to Residential Wirer Apprenticeship


If you are interested in a Residential Wirer apprenticeship, you must apply directly to Electrical (NECA-IBEW) Apprenticeship and Training (the application does NOT go through Madison College). Contact them directly for information about the application procedure.

Application Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age parental/guardian consent
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Algebra with a passing grade “C” of higher or equivalent
  • Meet required norms on aptitude test (if required)
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

All apprenticeships require an employer sponsor. After passing the application process, you will be responsible for finding an employer to sponsor you as an apprentice before you may begin the program.
