New Employee Awards Program

The College is committed to investing in the continued professional development of high performing employees who are investing their time and energy in the college.

To that end, the Employee Awards Committee is pleased to announce the redesigned Madison College Employee Excellence Awards program. The goal of the new program is to be inclusive, meaningful, promote collaboration, foster community, and recognize outstanding work across the college. The new Employee Excellence Awards will recognize employee contributions in the following areas:

Teaching – one FT, one PT faculty member
Leadership – any employee category
Organizational and College Support – any employee category
Innovation – any employee category
Student Service and Support – any employee category

Aside from the Excellence in Teaching awards whose recipients will be one Full and one Part-time faculty member, all other awards are open to college employees from any employee category.

  • Award winners will receive funding to attend the League for Innovation Conference, March 20-23, in Chicago, IL. This conference will address critical issues facing community colleges today, and offers sessions designed for college employees in many different areas. Employees from all across the college will find sessions that are interesting and relevant to their work.  Participants will attend sessions of their choice during the day, then meet for dinner as a group to enjoy informal time with fellow award winners and other Madison College employees who may be attending the conference as well.

  •  Recipients of the award who attend the conference will be expected to be a part of a breakout session at convocation the following fall (as a team or panel) designed to share some of the most useful things learned at the conference so that other college employees may benefit as well.
