The Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education is dedicated to the advancement of technical and career education in Wisconsin.

The WACTE Mission:  The Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE) unites individuals involved in career and technical education, provides professional development, encourages leadership in the political arena, and promotes innovative change to enhance lifelong learning.

This mission is carried out through:

• Professional Development-Programming designed to develop members professional and leadership skills.
• Encourage Political Leadership-Advocate public policy to benefit career and technical education.
• Promote Innovative Change-Through educational programs, advocacy efforts, and communications promote the exploration and adoption of new ideas and methods in career and technical education.

Organization

Our local is one of 22 local affiliates representing the Wisconsin Technical College Districts, Department of Public Instruction, Business Education, Vocational Education Special Needs, Wisconsin Technical College System Board/UW-Madison Association, Wisconsin Association for Vocational Agriculture Instructors (WAVAI), and UW Stout.

Membership

Our local association's 123+ members include teachers, educational administrators, teacher educators, counselors, support staff, business and industry partners, students and others with an interest in Career and Technical Education (CTE).
