Web Strategies administers the technical and business processes for the Madison Area Technical CollegeWebsite.
The first point of contact for every faculty or staff in bringing forward new ideas for their department or division is their Web Administrator. The Web Administrator is also the first point of contact for becoming a web author in a department.
The new website management structure is designed to have one Web Administrator for each area of the college.
The Web Administrator is responsible for coordinating the ownership and content of all pages that fall within their divisional area. The administrators keep an inventory of their site and conduct reviews of the site for timeliness. They will communicate news to their authors, assist with troubleshooting, and bring forward issues to the Web Advisory Team or Technology Services Web Strategies.
The Web Administrators are a faculty or staff member's first contact for becoming a web author and are the divisional contact to receive feedback or suggestions for the website.
Web Advisory Team
The Web Advisory Team is appointed by the Vice Presidents or their designates and is composed of stakeholders from a wide variety of college areas. The Team meets regularly to discuss long term strategies and short term operational issues for the Madison Area Technical College website. The Team shares needs, troubleshoots solutions, and provides updates on activities within their departments that would impact the effectiveness, timeliness, and efficiency of the web. The team also shares their area's needs for new software and services, and works together to find common solutions and web applications to shared technology problems.
