Bio

Welcome to Madison Area Technical College and congratulations on your decision to further your education.

This school year we are celebrating 100 years of student success! Since 1912, when the first classes were held above a firehouse in downtown Madison, we have been committed to providing students with the education and job skills needed for success in the real world.  

Madison College continues our tradition of educational excellence by providing the career and college transfer programs that will help you gain career success today and in the future.

At Madison College you can build a foundation for a bachelor’s degree, explore a new career, introduce yourself to a new trade or hobby, or upgrade your professional skills. Choose from more than 140 programs in growing fields like health care, information technology, biotechnology and renewable energy.

We value learning in all its forms and strive to provide a variety of opportunities for you to get involved outside the classroom as well, in athletics, cultural and professional growth activities.

We invite you to visit any of our five campuses. When you visit, you will see the campuses are bustling with activity—some of it construction. Thanks to the community’s overwhelming support through referendum, we are continuing to meet the growing demand for highly skilled workers through several important building projects.
