A certificate is a collection of courses which gives the learner a specific or desirable set of skills. Certificates help individuals upgrade skills to keep abreast of changes in the workplace. These courses usually count toward more complete degrees and diplomas but can often provide the learner a jump start on emerging occupational trends. Choose a link to learn more.

To earn a certificate, you need to apply for admission.
Online Certificate Application
Create an ApplyWeb account and follow the instructions to complete the Online Certificate Application. Submit the $15 non-refundable fee (payable by credit card, debit card or electronic check) with your application. Applicants may submit more than one certificate application per term using the Online Certificate Application; the same fees apply for each additional application.
Paper Certificate Application
You can request a paper application from the Enrollment Center at (608) 246-6210. Submit the $15 non-refundable fee (payable by check or money order) with your application. Effective January 1, 2011, the non-refundable paper certificate application fee will be $20. Please note: using a paper application can delay the processing of your admission application additional two weeks.
The certificate will be awarded upon completion of the requirements . The certificate will be awarded (mailed) when completion of all requirements is verified after the semester the last course has been completed.
A grade of C or better is required in each course to award the certificate. No more than 50% of the certificate credits may be through advanced standing.
Certificates are not eligible for financial aid.
