The Mobile Applications Development program (officially titled IT-Programmer/Analyst) is an associate degree program that meets the specific skills and knowledge requirements of technical and professional jobs within the information technology (IT) field for an entry-level educational needs of most segments of the IT field which primarily utilize mainframe computers in conjunction with web and server applications. Training blends general educational development with required IT technical skills for programmer/analysts in government, insurance, manufacturing, service, wholesale and retail sales, utilities, banking and accounting. Additional education and job experience lead to work in systems analysis.

Program Outcomes

Program Outcomes:

Write moderately complex web applications using current PHP or ASP.NET technology.
Write moderately complex web applications using current JavaScript and AJAX technology.
Write SQL statements to retrieve/manipulate data and manipulate relational database structures.
Perform entry-level systems analysis and design work to solve business problems using both traditional and object-oriented methodologies.
Build the client side of interactive websites using XHTML and XML.
Demonstrate work ethics and reliable behavior including, but not limited to, assuming responsibility for decisions and actions, utilizing time and stress management skills, and displaying initiative.
Work as a team member by demonstrating good communication and listening skills, cooperation, and providing a supportive environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of the IT field and its job roles, with some emphasis on IT security as it applies to programming.
Developing moderately complex business applications using advanced language techniques and object-oriented principles, using PHP or .NET.
Troubleshoot personal computer systems.

We only transfer in equivalent college work if the grade is a C or better. (We do not transfer in C- graded course work).
