The 520- Law Enforcement Academy is offered Spring, Summer & Fall and meets for 13 consecutive weeks Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. The 720 hour Academy is planned for January of 2016
Recruitment qualifications are defined in LES 2, Administrative Rules of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board.
Students seeking admission to the Law Enforcement Academy must be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED; completed a copy of the Application for Enrollment as Law Enforcement Officer (DJ-LE-327);possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's License; results of criminal history records check; applicant possess either a 2 year associate degree from a Wisconsin technical college system district or its accredited equivalent from another state or a minimum of 60 fully accredited college level credits; complete a satisfactory oral interview. Students accepted into the Law Enforcement Academy must undergo a physical assessment by a Wisconsin licensed physician.
Cost for the Law Enforcement Academy is $2,950.00. (which includes tuition, books & scenario fees)
Dress Attire: Black Cargo or bdu style pants, black boots, black belt. Academy issued shirts.
