Programs Offered at the Madison College - South Campus

The Madison College - South Campus is an access point and a great place to build on your educational and career foundation!  We offer credit and noncredit programs and courses to meet the needs of greater South Madison residents and employers, such as:

  • College Transfer/Liberal Arts Courses
  • Nursing Assistant
  • Adult Basic Education and high school completion (GED/HSED)
  • English as a Second Language (ESL/ELL)
  • Computers (credit and noncredit)
  • Global languages (credit and noncredit)
  • Entry-level child care certification training (in English, Spanish and Hmong)
  • Sewing (noncredit), Edible Native Plants, Sustainable Beekeeping
  • Heartsaver/CPR for infants and young children


Certificates offer a targeted credential and are a small window of the College's two-year associate degree programs. At the South Campus, we focus on providing both bilingual education for our Bilingual (English/Spanish) certificates and English-only options, as well. These short-term, career-laddering credit certificates include:

  • Microsoft® Office–Basic and Advanced (bilingual and English-only)
  • Supervisory Management Basic and Intermediate Series (bilingual only)
  • Early Childhood Education/Preschool Credential (bilingual and English-only)
  • Early Childhood Education/Infant & Toddler Credential (bilingual only)
  • Human Services (bilingual only)
  • Basic Accounting Assistant (bilingual only)
  • Essential Office Skills (bilingual and English-only)

Other Offerings

  • On Fridays from 9:00am - 11:00am, we offer the South Madison Job Mob Job Club and serve as a Worksmart Access Point for Job Seekers
