Whether you want to take a credit course that may count toward a degree, or a non-credit course for fun or personal enrichment, you can register for classes at Madison College in just four easy steps:
Search for your course(s) using:
- the "Search for Courses" link on myMadisonCollege,
- the online course search,
- the list of additional educational offerings, or
- the printed timetable (mailed to Madison College district residents and available at public libraries and most Madison College locations).
Make note of the five-digit class number(s) for the course(s) you want to take. This number will be required to complete registration.

Find out when you can register.
Your registration date is determined by your student status at Madison College. Student status is based on whether you are attending Madison College for the first time or are a continuing student, as well as other factors such as your class load (full- or part-time).

Ensure you meet course enrollment prerequisites.
Prerequisites vary by course. Review the requirements for a specific course to determine if there are any testing requirements or other prerequisites. Prerequisites for credit courses are typically met through COMPASS placement testing or through successful course completion.
