STEPS Training

The STEPS upgrade is scheduled for early July 2011, and program teams are gearing up for training classes that will instruct faculty and staff on new and improved functionality in preparation for go-live.

The new and improved technology made possible by this upgrade will make using and sharing information safe, more secure and more efficient. Together, we can make this upgrade a successful transition for the college.

Training Classes

STEPS training classes will offer a comprehensive look at PeopleSoft 9.0 to allow for a smooth transition for faculty and staff. There will be role-based training sessions tailored to faculty, advisors and administrative support staff. Information on dates and times are located on the CETL Registration website and it is each employee's responsibility to attend the class designated for their role.

Registration

Employees will need to visit the CETL Registration website to view available classes and to register. Registration is required and class completion will be recorded on employee transcripts. Each session title refers to the required attendees: faculty, advisor, Learner Center admin support staff and student service staff. Those who are uncertain about which session(s) to attend should contact their immediate supervisor for more instructions.

Online registration will be available starting Friday, May 27, 2011, so be sure to visit the CETL Registration website to sign up. At Truax, there will also be open lab sessions for everyone to utilize to practice what they learned in a previous session.

Training Calendar

The STEPS Training Calendar for June - August 2011 (PDF, 35 KB) provides schedule of all classes and open lab dates.

Post Go-Live

After the July go-live, additional online resources will be posted and communicated. These publications will be announced in Matters as they occur. Trainings will be offered again in August, during Convocations and term prep week, and announced in Matters once schedules are finalized.
