A seven-digit number is assigned at the time of the first creation of a record for each student. This number becomes the student identification number.
Social Security Numbers are requested as part of the student record and are kept in strict confidence. Students may choose not to disclose their Social Security number; however, this may delay processing and the maintenance of files while a number is being assigned.
Social Security numbers must be on record to receive financial aid, including the application process for programs of study.
