Student education records are maintained in the Enrollment Center. All requests to review education records must be made in writing. Review may be immediate, but the Enrollment Center may take up to 45 days to honor requests if files are not accessible. If photocopies of records are requested, fees for copies are the same rate charged by the college library.
Records placed on hold for individual indebtedness to the college are not released until cleared of the obligation.
No personally identifiable information from college records is disclosed by the college without each student’s prior written consent, except when prior written consent is not required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
Students may print Enrollment Verifications by logging into myMadisonCollege and going to their Student Center. Go to the "other academic" drill down box and select Enrollment Verification. Students can have the Enrollment Verification sent to themselves or to another location. Alternately, students or their health care provider, property manager, etc. may submit a form to the Enrollment Center to be completed and mailed to the institution requesting the enrollment verification.
Madison College does not fulfill requests for Enrollment Verifications for students with outstanding obligations to the college. All obligations must be satisfied before an Enrollment Verification can be processed.
Madison Area Technical College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verification.
