Magally is currently employed at Promega in Madison, WI.  Promega Corporation is a manufacturer of enzymes and other products for biotechnology and molecular biology with a portfolio covering the fields of genomics, protein analysis and expression, cellular analysis, drug discovery and genetic identity.  Magally is a packaging technician and is a single mother working full time and going to school to better her career.  Her company just recently acquired 2 CNC machines. She has been in touch with her supervisors regarding her interest in receiving a promotion and working as a CNC operator.  Promega is very supportive of her desire to better her skills and advance in the company and it is likely she will be able to advance in her company due to the TAACCCT grant funding training.

Please write a few sentences as to why you chose this person:
Osbaldo is currently classified as TAA and is receiving TAA benefits.  Osbaldo worked for 17 years for Trostel in Whitewater, WI.  Trostel closed it’s doors in Whitewater and moved it’s operation to Reynosa, Mexico.  Osbaldo was a molder who made seals for cars.  Osbaldo travels an hour every day to attend school to better his chances of receiving a higher paying position.  Osbaldo is enjoying his work learning more about CNC’s and hopes to gain employment as a CNC operator.  With his manufacturing experience and the additional credentials he is earning  through the TAACCCT  Manufacturing Grant, Osbaldo is hopeful to reach his goal.  Osbaldo stated that he is very grateful for the opportunity for participating in the career pathway at Madison College and is enjoying his experience and instructors very much!
