You may notice some new technologies available for students - Virtual Desktops and Cloud Computers.
You’ll find "cloud computers" or "zero client" devices in the hallways, in our libraries, and in a growing list of labs and classrooms. They are easy to use and you may not even notice that there is no tower connected. Here's a brief introduction to the terminology.
Virtual Desktops help you connect you with college resources for your classes. There are two ways to access virtual desktops depending on the device you are using: Cloud Computers or Physical Computers.
For students in some classes and programs, there are Roaming Desktops and Remote (Off-Campus) Desktops available for access on personal computers. Your instructor for the class will let you know if you are using a particular virtual desktop for your class.
