Waitlisted Programs

Some programs at Madison College have waiting lists for acceptance into the program due to high demand and limited enrollment. While a waitlist may form for any program, the information below reflects current application trends, not necessarily the current program status for a particular program or semester. Applicants will be notified of a program's status upon acceptance.

The following programs have ongoing waitlists and priority application deadlines:

Associate Degree Nursing*
Nursing Completion-LPN to ADN**
Physical Therapy **

*A petition process is required for admission into core Associate Degree Nursing courses

**Completion of pre-core courses is required before moving off the waitlist and into program courses

Because these programs have priority application deadlines and ongoing waitlists, only residents of the Madison College district are eligible for admission consideration per Wisconsin Statute TCS-10.

The following programs most likely will have a waitlist:

Dental Assistant
Dental Hygienist**
IT Network Security Specialist
Medical Assistant
Medical Coding Specialist**
Occupational Therapy
Surgical Technologist**

**Completion of pre-core courses is required before moving off the waitlist and into program courses

Because these programs often have waitlists but do not have priority application deadlines, Wisconsin residents are eligible for admission consideration. Out-of-state residents are not eligible for any program with a waitlist per Wisconsin Statute TCS-10. (Note: Minnesota residents are considered non-district state residents for admission purposes.)

Waitlists often form for the following programs:

Automotive Technology
Baking/Pastry Arts
Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technician
Early Childhood Education
Fire Protection Technician
Optometric Technician
Respiratory Therapist
Therapeutic Massage
Veterinary Technician
