Education and job readiness can play a huge role in an offender's successful transition back into the community. We currently partner with the Dane, Sauk, and Columbia county jails to provide onsite basic skills education and remedial instruction to incarcerated adults.
Programming for students who are incarcerated may be individual, small group, or computer-assisted. When possible, instructors also work with participants to help them make the transition to community educational programs.
In addition to onsite instruction at the jails, we provide educational services at some of our Madison College campuses for students incarcerated at the William H. Ferris Center in Madison who are eligible for the Huber work release program.
