Fort Atkinson campus to celebrate metal fabrication expansion with open house, tours

A hidden gem.
That's how co-program director Jimmy DeGidio describes the new 4,700-square-foot metal fabrication addition at Madison College's Fort Atkinson campus.
“We didn’t have a lot of room here, and we really grew out of it quickly,” DeGidio told the Daily Jefferson County Union. “This allows us to expand our CNC (computer numerical control) cutting capacity and add a CNC laser cutting tool.”
DeGidio says the demand is high right now for fabrication and welding workers and the $1 million expansion allows the college to offer both programs at the same time.
