Madison College Spring Commencement

Talk about good luck. Madison College will be celebrating two commencements on Friday, May 13.

The first one is for the NextGen Responders Academy, which is recognizing nearly 30 high school students who completed the Fire Academy, Emergency Medical Responder or both classes at Madison College. Students who graduate from the program become certified firefighters - something that is in high demand right now. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. in room 232 of the Protective Services Building (1701 Pearson St.)

Later that day, about 1,100 Madison College students will be celebrating Spring Commencement at the Alliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Of those, about 700 will be walking in the graduation ceremony. Commencement begins at 5:30 p.m.
