Madison College provides update on recent cybersecurity event

We’ve recently become aware that one of Madison College’s partners, The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), was among several dozen organizations worldwide impacted by a recent cybersecurity incident involving the MOVEit file transfer tool.

While Madison College’s systems are not affected by this event, the NSC has alerted us that they believe the breach may have included data provided to them from Madison College via MOVEit.

At this time, we do not know what files submitted by Madison College to NSC may have been affected. We are currently awaiting a detailed response from NSC and are working with appropriate parties to respond once more information is available.

We will work with our students to make sure they have access to the resources necessary should it be determined that sensitive personal information was accessed by unauthorized parties.
