    Project Management Skills

    Are you in charge of managing an event or construction project, implementing new processes or software, changing suppliers or accomplishing other long-term tasks that require major organization, input and execution? This course follows the suggested Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and will prepare you to successfully manage projects large and small. You will learn about project life cycles and the tools and techniques necessary to successfully manage projects; develop project plans; determine scope and requirements; break down structures and critical paths; develop milestones and estimates; identify and manage resources; conduct risk analyses and contingencies; and monitor, execute and close projects.

    Construction Project Management

    This course covers the step-by-step use of all the tools required to operate as a professional manager, making every construction job profitable and successful. You will learn all aspects of a construction project; understanding business structure, administration contracts, blue print constructability review, estimating, project scheduling and all facets of coordination to close out the project. You will work through exercises to develop skills that you can take away for use on the job. 

  • LSS Yellow Belt

    Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt skillfully blends the tools of Lean with the rigor of the DMAIC methodology. Yellow belt training provides the process management and tools to be an effective team participant and contributor within any organization. Yellow belt training also provides supervisors with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively engage and support continuous improvement efforts and project improvement teams. Upon completing this course, you will be well prepared to continue on to Green Belt Certification training and project work. 

    Specific topics covered under Yellow Belt training include understanding the voice of the customer, understanding the relationships between Suppliers-Inputs-Process-Outputs-Customer (SIPOC), and how to use a structured problem solving methodology, Define, Measure Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC). You will also learn to use various tools to gather and analyze data, determine root causes and cause and effect relationships. Also covered are system fundamentals such as variation, types of waste, capacity, control, and system improvement.

    The Yellow Belt typically requires a time commitment of about 15 hours in the classroom and at least 12 hours of eLearning. Upon completion of this course and the required project, you will receive a digital certificate of completion.

  • LSS Green Belt

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a disciplined, comprehensive process improvement approach focused on reducing waste, mistakes, and process variability. Lean Six Sigma seeks to increase customer satisfaction, improve system performance, and engage employees resulting in improved profits and greater employee involvement and morale. Individuals working in any environment will benefit from the skills learned in this flexible, blended learning combination of online modules and classroom instruction. Upon completion of this course, you will be prepared to participate and lead continuous improvement efforts and projects.

    Specific skills you will attain with the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt include a structured approach to solving problems and improving systems performance (DMAIC), incorporating the voice of the customer into decision making, mapping processes, and understanding systems and how to manage, improve, measure, and control them. You will learn how to gather and use data to analyze and help make decisions as well as how to facilitate work place teams and effectively engage others. You will complete a capstone project and exam to receive your Green Belt Certification.

    The Green Belt typically requires a time commitment of about 18 hours in the classroom and at least 15 hours of e-learning in additional to the work done to obtain the Yellow Belt. Upon completion of this course and the required project, you will receive a digital certificate of completion.

    Green Belt Participants are required to have already successfully completed the Yellow Belt training courses.

  • LSS Black Belt

    Six Sigma Black Belts streamline organizational processes through strategic improvement projects. These highly skilled professionals will lead and mentor a team of Green Belts to complete projects that deliver sustainable results.

    This online Six Sigma training course will help you prepare for the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification exam. You will be enabled to transform your organization by reducing costs, increasing revenue, and improving collaboration. You will learn how to manage multiple projects and ensure their alignment meets organizational goals.

    Upon completion of this course and the required project, you will be prepared for the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification exam. The fee for this exam is included with the course. This course is offered in partnership with ed2go and is completely online and on-demand.
