The Accommodated Testing Centers at Madison College are here to support you with your approved testing accommodations at all campus locations, for both in-person and online classes.

You must have a current Accommodation Plan through the Disability Resource Services (DRS) office to receive testing accommodations for courses.

Contact DRS at drstransition@madisoncollege.edu or 608.246.6716 if you need an Accommodation Plan.

Test Reservation Request Process

Please meet with your instructors at the beginning of classes to discuss testing accommodations.

Your test reservation must be submitted at least five days prior to the test date. Late requests will only be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Once your request has been approved, you will receive an email confirmation and an appointment will be sent to your Madison College email account.

If you need help, please work with your DRS Specialist. They are listed on your Accommodation Plan, found in your myMadisonCollege account.

Notes for Online Classes

Online course instructors place exams on Blackboard. We will work with your instructors to provide accommodations for those exams and quizzes.

  • If you use extended time as an accommodation for tests and quizzes, your instructor will set this up for you in Blackboard. We will show your instructor how to do this.
  • If you use text-to-speech as an accommodation, you will use either Read Speaker (text-to-speech built into Blackboard) or Kurzweil 3000. We can teach you how to use this simple, yet amazing tool.
  • If you use a live reader as an accommodation, the Testing Center will use WebEx for live online proctoring with a staff member.
