Madison College Shuttles

Currently enrolled degree-credit students at Madison College are eligible to ride the shuttles, which serve the Commercial Avenue, Downtown, Truax, West and South Campuses. Additionally there are two new stops in South Madison and Fitchburg. To ride the shuttles, you must present your Madison College OneCard as you board. Nondegree students may also ride the shuttle if they buy the Student Activities/Commuter Services/Health and Fitness Package, which costs $75 a semester.

The shuttles operate Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters, including final exam weeks. Shuttles DO NOT operate during the summer months. All shuttles are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks. Evening shuttle service was discontinued due to low ridership.

Students wishing to move between the Downtown campus and the Truax campus after the last shuttle at 6:30 p.m. are encouraged to ride Metro Bus route #6. Students heading further west may catch Metro Bus route #15. Students heading south may catch Metro Bus route #5.

The shuttle service is funded by the Commuter Services Fee. You can download the schedule (PDF, 510KB).

Additional Information

Please note that Madison College students may not bring friends or family who are not students with them on the shuttles. This service is intended to provide efficient transportation between Madison campuses for currently enrolled students. Children attending the Madison College Child and Family Centers at Downtown and/or Truax may ride the shuttles only when accompanied by their legal guardian who is a currently enrolled student of Madison College.

Madison College faculty, staff and administrators are welcome to ride the shuttle if room is available, but students have priority. Employee shuttle rides are funded through the college's parking reimbursement fund.

Service enhancements for Spring 2017 are piloted and funded by Student Commuter Services Fees. Services under-utilized will end or be modified. The shuttle program has provided over half-a-million rides for Madison College students since 2010.
