Madison College is a DANTES Funded Testing Center. Military and qualifying family members can take the CLEP test free of charge. 

Testing Notes

  • All testing policies found here apply to this test. 
  • Print and bring your Registration Ticket to Test that you purchased. 
  • Once a test is started, it must be completed in one sitting.

CLEP Testing Steps

Step 1: Register for a CLEP ticket

  1. Go to the CLEP website to register for an exam.
  2. Select your test and add it to your cart.
  3. Add study guides if you wish.
  4. Checkout to get your testing ticket.
  5. Your CLEP ticket is valid for 6 months; see the expiration date on your ticket.

Step 2: Schedule a proctoring time with Madison College

  1. Reserve a testing seat at our Madison Truax campus.
  2. Be sure to select the correct CLEP test when you register.
  3. Testing is available most days from 9 am - 4 pm.
  4. There is a $33.50 proctoring fee for the exam, due when you reserve your seat.
  5. On the day of your exam, bring your testing ticket and a valid photo ID.
