Yoga and Meditation Practice
During the Fall and Spring semesters, Madison College offers free yoga and meditation practice sessions for students, employees and community members.
Free Practice sessions at the Truax Campus
Mental Strength Training
This 30-minute drop in class is free and open to the first 25 people. Learn fast, easy, practical techniques to focus the mind, relieve anxiety, bounce back after stressful situations, and feel strong and calm under pressure. Each session will include gentle stretching followed by mental strength training exercises.
Mondays from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. in the Health Education Building, Room 131
Wednesdays from 2:15 - 2:45 p.m. in the Intercultural Exchange, C1430 Truax
Silent Meditation Practice
This 30-minute unguided session is free and open to anyone who would like to sit in silent meditation with a group. Chairs, floor cushions, and yoga mats are provided. A facilitator will ring the bell at intervals or at the end, depending on the group’s preference.

Alignment Yoga Class
This 60-minute drop in class is free and open to the first 25 people. This gentle, beginner yoga class focuses on joint stability, safe range of motion, and deep relaxation. Please contact Lisa Lanting with any questions.
Tuesdays from 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. in the Health Education Building, Room 131
If you would like to practice on your own, you can reserve the Reflection Room through Student Life for 15 minutes at a time.
