Michael W. Twitty, a culinary and cultural historian, will appear at the Madison College Chef Series event Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 5-8 p.m. at the Truax campus. Twitty created Afroculinaria, the first food blog devoted to African American foodways.

He has appeared on television and NPR, lectured at universities and served as a judge for the James Beard Awards. The series is presented by Vollrath Company and hosted by Kyle Cherek, former host of Wisconsin Foodie on public television.
