Student rep elected to district board
MADISON, Wis. — Aaron Schattschneider of Marshall will serve as the student representative to the Madison Area Technical College District Board for the 2019-2020 academic year. His term begins July 1.
A graduate of Marshall High School, Schattschneider was elected by a district-wide student vote. He is working toward associate degrees in Liberal Arts Transfer in Science and Biotechnology Lab Technician. He is president of the STEM Club and a student employee in the STEM Center. Schattschneider’s parents both graduated from Madison College.
The Student District Board member represents a student voice on the Board and is expected to attend District Board meetings and retreats. He will express opinions and preferences on votes taken during regularly scheduled district business meetings, and report to the Student Senate and Student Activities Board on a monthly basis.
