For safety purposes, Madison College requires students to always carry a student ID when on campus. Your ID card is called the OneCard.

In addition to being your student ID for the next five years, your OneCard has other benefits.

  • Save 10% on food purchases at any Madison College dining facility.
  • Acts as your library card at Madison College libraries.
  • Access to the Traux campus Student Health Care Services Clinic and fitness center.
  • Your proof of eligibility to receive a Madison Metro Bus Pass and ride the Shuttle. 
  • Your ticket to many school-sponsored activities and sporting events.

To obtain a OneCard you must

  • Be enrolled in at least one credit course (degree or non-degree).
  • Present a Valid Photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID.
  • The OneCard is a valid form of identification and will use your legal name. 

How to get a printed OneCard:

  1. Complete the OneCard Registration Form.
  2. Stop into one of the following campus locations:
    • Truax Student Life Office - Room B1260
    • Goodman South Student Life Office - Room 109
    • Commercial Avenue Campus - Main Office
    • Fort Atkinson Campus - Main Office
    • Watertown Campus - Main Office
    • Portage Campus - Main Office

How to get a virtual OneCard 

If you already have a physical OneCard

Help! I lost my OneCard!

If your OneCard has been lost or stolen, report it immediately to facilities by emailing jluthanen@madisoncollege.edu or by calling 608.243.4219. You also should report it as lost or stolen through the Virtual ID portal.

The replacement fee for a lost or stolen OneCard is $5.00.

If it has been over two years since you received your last OneCard, the fee will be waived.

You can have your OneCard replaced by visiting the office that issued the card.

  • Terms and Conditions

    1. The Madison College OneCard is the property of Madison College and does not guarantee current college status.
    2. The rights and privileges associated with the OneCard are nontransferable.
    3. The card should be carried at all times on campus and presented to a Madison College official upon request.
    4. The card should be treated as cash and always be kept in a secure place. 
    5. You are responsible for reporting lost or stolen cards immediately to the Public Safety Office, including reporting your phone missing if you use a virtual card. 
      • If funds have been loaded on the card, mark the card as lost or stolen in Atrium Connect. When a new card is received, you must reactivate the card in Atrium Connect. 
      • Madison College is not responsible for any losses due to lost or stolen cards.   
    6. You are issued one physical card at no charge. Subsequent physical cards issued to the same cardholder will be considered replacement cards. The fee for a replacement card is $5. If the card is defective at no fault of the user, the replacement fee may be waived. Madison College has sole discretion in determining why a card is not functioning properly. 
    7. When you leave the college, your OneCard account will be deactivated. You will be unable to use your OneCard for purchases, but you can request a refund of any remaining balance over $10. Email FASST@madisoncollege.edu to request a refund. 
    8. Madison College reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without notice. Check https://students.madisoncollege.edu/resources/student-life/onecard to view the most up to date version. 
    9. By electronically signing your OneCard, you are agreeing to the following conditions while using the Madison College Fitness Center:
      • For fee-paying students or Fitness Center members, the OneCard gives you access to the Madison College Fitness Center during normal business hours. Participation in any Fitness Center activities at Madison College is purely voluntary and is not part of the academic curriculum of the school.
      • Use of the Madison College Fitness Center comes with it inherent risks. In using the Fitness Center, you agree I do so at my own risk and agree to hold Madison College harmless from any liability for the risks inherent to use of the Fitness Center. In consideration of Madison College making any equipment and/or facilities available to you while participating in any use of the Fitness Center, you agree to release Madison College, its Board, officers, successors, assignees, agents, and employees from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever in any way growing out of or resulting from my use of the Fitness Center.
    10. You expressly agree that the foregoing Liability Release and Assumption of Risk (the “Release”) is intended to be as broad as is permitted by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and that any disputes related to the Release as well as any judicial interpretation of the effects of the Release will be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. You further agree that if any provision of this Release is held to be invalid, the balance of the Release shall continue in full force and effect. The Release survives all past use of the Madison College Fitness Center.

    My electronic signature shown on my OneCard indicates that I have read the terms and conditions of use for the Madison College OneCard and that by applying for and using the card, I agree to and accept such terms and conditions of use including any future amendments thereto.
