Overview

Madison College's Healthcare Administrative and Insurance certificate provides in-depth, short-term training that will prepare you to enter the healthcare field in a variety of administrative office positions.

In the Healthcare Administrative & Insurance program, you will:

  • Learn medical language used in healthcare.
  • Gain an understanding of patient and healthcare industry treatment options through focus on the human body in health and disease.
  • Explore the U.S. healthcare system and the insurance industry and how the two sectors work together.
  • Discuss healthcare privacy laws and electronic health records.

Student support for Medical Terminology and Human Body Health and Disease courses is provided by the School of Academic Advancement. Ongoing student success sessions are provided for assignment review and study aids.
