The Social Sciences Data Analytics Certificate (SSDAC) will teach you research skills for use in industry, education and beyond. Gain skills in theory, data collection, data management, data analysis, data visualization and data presentation. We will prepare you to work in academic research environments and for private or public employers. You will graduate with traits employers want, including good communication skills, ethics, logic and critical decision making.

After completing the Social Sciences Data Analytics Certificate at Madison Area Technical College, you will be able to:

  • Earn credits toward an associate degree: Credits may be used as program requirements or electives for the Liberal Arts associate degree.
  • Gain employment: With additional education and experience, graduates may find work in research, nonprofit organizations, business and industry and government.
  • Develop research skills: You will be prepared for advanced, rigorous empirical research. You may seek to get work published, create presentations, attend conferences or find service learning and internship opportunities.
