Travel may not be an option for everyone, but there are still ways to learn more about what this world can offer.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been on a plane before, have difficulty traveling due to financial reasons, caring for a loved one at home, or your credit may not apply to your academic program.

There’s no need to learn a new language or pressure to take a language class – if you have the heart to travel, you are never too young or too old to experience the world.

What Programs Are Available?

Madison College offers a variety of Virtual Exchange programs, and we recommend checking out the list of programs on the Terra Dotta site frequently, as they change on a semester-to-semester basis. Some of the types of programs offered may vary based on your needs:

  • Certain programs are incorporated into existing classes on campus where students connect in multinational teams to complete an assignment or project.
  • Some programs allow other students to complete a virtual internship or course.
  • Programs can also add international experts, tours, or experiences to Madison College courses.

The Benefits of Taking Part in a Virtual Exchange Program

It’s a big world out there, and it’s exciting to see what opportunities it has for Madison College students.

Virtual Exchange provides different types of opportunities for those who are always in search of unique learning experiences:

Learn more about other cultures and customs – sharing what you know can come in handy with future employers.

Connect with students or experts from around the world. Anyone could watch videos of people jet-setting around the world, but it’s not every day that you get the opportunity to learn from people abroad.

Some knowledge can’t be found in books or inside a classroom – this is your opportunity as a student to learn concepts and ideas that may not be possible locally.
