As a new student to the college or to your program, there are different events offered throughout the year to help get you off to a smooth start at Madison College.

Advising and Registration

At an Advising and Registration Session you will meet with your academic advisors in a group setting, plan out your academic career, receive personalized assistance to enroll in classes and begin to meet students and instructors in your program of study. Some programs require mandatory Advising and Registration Sessions or program-specific orientations, so keep an eye on your email for more information.

Approximately two weeks after you've been admitted into a program, you will receive an invite via email. Invitations are sent out starting in March for the Fall semester and October for the Spring semester. Registration is required to attend an Advising and Registration Session.

WolfPack Welcome

Wolfpack Welcome prepares you for the beginning of your college experience at Madison College. Studies show that participants in new-student activities are better prepared, feel more comfortable, and earn higher grades. All new students are expected to participate and family members are welcome to join.

At Wolfpack Welcome, you'll learn more about:

Textbooks: Required textbooks are listed in the class description of your Student Center class schedule.

OneCard: Your student ID will be used for identification purposes, access to the library and debit card services on campus.

Parking Pass/Bus Pass: You can pick up your parking permit from Public Safety. Free bus passes are also available in the Student Life Office.

For events at the Truax campus, park in the student parking lot(s). Parking passes/permits are not required on A&R or WolfPack Welcome days. Get contact and location information including directions and maps to all Madison College campuses.

If you need reasonable accommodations in order to participate in any part of the orientation process, please contact Madison College’s Disability Resource Services.
