Advising & Registration
As a new student to the college or your program, there are different resources offered to help get you off to a smooth start at Madison College.
Our Virtual Advising & Registration (VAR) is online and highly recommended for all newly admitted program students. It will provide timely information that will prepare you to register for your first semester courses.
Step 1: Check the personal email you provided when applying for admission to your program. You will receive an email invitation to register for your VAR. *If you do not receive an email, please check your junk, spam, and promotions folder.
Step 2: Within 30 minutes of registering for your VAR, check your personal email for the confirmation email that includes the date, start time, and link to access your session. *If you do not receive an email, please check your junk, spam, and promotions folder.
Step 3: Two days from the start date of your session. Check your personal email for a reminder email and ensure that you complete your “Advising Worksheet” before you attend your session. Your Advising Worksheet can be found by:
- Create/Activate your Madison College student account
- Login to MyMadisonCollege Portal
- Click the Communications tile
- In your To Do List, click “Advising Worksheet”
Step 4: Attend your session. During your session, you will also receive assistance scheduling a 30 minute 1:1 appointment with an Academic Advisor where you will enroll in classes!
Advising & Registration Session Replays
After attending your virtual Advising & Registration session, all of your session information will be available for reference by selecting one of the session replays below.
Students admitted to a certificate program may register beginning on their assigned registration date and do not participate in Advising & Registration. If you need help with course selection please contact Advising Services.
After attending Advising & Registration, you will be invited to attend Wolfpack Welcome. This college-wide orientation prepares you for the beginning of your college experience at Madison College. All new students are expected to attend and family members are more than welcome!
