New Student Orientation

As a new student to the college or your program, there are different resources offered to help get you off to a smooth start at Madison College.

Virtual Advising & Registration

Our Virtual Advising & Registration (VAR) is online and highly recommended for all newly admitted program students. It will provide timely information that will prepare you to register for your first semester courses.

Get Started

Step 1 - Check the personal email you provided when applying for admission to your program. You will receive an email invitation* to register for your VAR.
*If you do not receive an email, please check your personal email junk, spam, and promotions folder.

Step 2
- Within 3 hours of registering for your VAR, check your personal email for the registration confirmation email* that includes a link to access your session.

Step 3 - Complete the VAR. New students: Once you finish the VAR, you are required to login with your Madison College username and password to indicate that you have completed the session.

Step 4 - After indicating completion of the VAR, check your personal email* for the thank you message with your next steps.

Virtual Advising & Registration Sessions

New students: Once you finish the VAR, you are required to login with your Madison College username and password to indicate that you have completed the session.

Returning students are not required to login to indicate completion of the VAR.

Certificate Programs

Students admitted to a certificate program may register beginning on their assigned registration date and do not participate in Advising & Registration. If you need help with course selection please contact Advising Services
 

WolfPack Welcome

Wolfpack Welcome prepares you for the beginning of your college experience at Madison College. All new students are expected to attend and family members are welcome.

At Wolfpack Welcome, you'll learn more about:

Academic Support Services: Students have access to free academic support services such as technology help, the writing and math center, tutors, etc.

Textbooks: Required textbooks are listed in the class description. Make sure to check out the new Textbook Rental program

OneCard: Your student ID will be used for identification purposes, access to the library and debit card services on campus.

Bus Pass: Free bus passes are available in the Student Life Office.

WolfPack Connect: Download the app and get involved in clubs and events.

Parking

For events at the Truax campus, park in the student parking lot(s). Parking passes/permits are not required on A&R or WolfPack Welcome days. Get contact and location information including directions and maps to all Madison College campuses.
