The Testing Center at Madison College supports students by providing access to testing services, accommodations, and resources for test preparation.

We adhere to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines and are a member of the Consortium of College Testing Center.

Tests and Assessments We Offer

Course Placement Testing

What level of college courses are you ready for? Let's assess you and place you in the right reading, writing, and math courses.

World Languages Course Placement Testing

Understand your competency level in Spanish, French, Chinese, or Arabic by taking the World Language Course Placement assessment.

Apprenticeship Testing

Some apprenticeship programs require testing. Learn how you can take the assessments you need for your apprenticeship program.

TEAS Assessment Testing

We utilize the proctored, online ATI TEAS assessment test to place students into various health care programs and Veterinary Technician.

HESI Admission Assessment (A2) Testing

Our Nursing program uses the HESI (A2) assessment tool. Due to its customizable nature, the test must be completed on campus.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Testing

Take one or more of the CLEP exams and demonstrate the knowledge you already have. Then earn Madison College credit for it. 

Testing Accommodations

If you wish to receive testing accommodations for courses, you must have a current Accommodation Plan through the Disability Resource Services (DRS) office.

Testing Policies

These policies apply to all tests administered or proctored by the Madison College Testing Center.

  • Arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your test time. Late arrivals may not be allowed to test or may not have the full time allowed for the exam.
  • Bring a valid photo ID. If you fail to present a valid ID, you will not be allowed to test.
  • Surveillance cameras are used in the Testing Center.
  • All personal items including cell phones, smart watches and electronic devices are not permitted in the testing rooms. You will secure these items in the locker provided. To verify that you did not forget to put any personal items in your locker, you may be asked to turn your pockets out and perform a self-pat-down before you go into the exam room.
  • Acts of dishonesty are subject to our Academic Integrity Policy
  • No guests or children are permitted in the test area.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the testing rooms.
  • Students, employees, and visitors are prohibited from possessing or carrying weapons while in any of the Madison College Testing Centers. This includes on-duty, certified law enforcement personnel in uniform. Law enforcement personnel are asked to schedule test when they are off-duty and not in uniform. This does not include Madison College public safety personnel or authorized instructors from the School of Human and Protective Services.
  • The testing rooms are confined spaces. Please be considerate in your use of fragrance or similar products, as the use of such products may trigger allergic reactions and create health problems.
  • All college health and safety rules must be always followed.
