The WiscAMP Scholars Program supports underrepresented minority students who plan to transfer from Madison College to four-year colleges or universities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
The program is for full-time students (12 credit minimum) who are in their final year at Madison College and includes mentoring support, internship opportunities and an annual stipend.
Program Eligibility
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Full-time student (12 credit minimum) in your final year at Madison College.
- Member of one of the following minority groups: Native American, Alaska Native, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Hmong, Native of Guam, Samoa or other Pacific Island.
- Plan to transfer to a four-year college into one of the STEM majors listed below.
- Completed six transfer-level credits with a grade of B or better in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Completed college algebra or higher by the end of the current semester. Placement testing into Trigonometry or higher in math is also acceptable.
- Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
