  • Classes will be in the evening or weekend.
  • Students will be given a Madison College Student account.
  • Classes will appear on the student’s transcripts.

Art Courses

This is an 8 week introductory course for any students interested in learning the basics of Digital Art! The class will help students understand the fundamentals and tools that exist across multiple work spaces and will aid them in exploring different digital drawing software.

Character Design will have students developing and creating their own characters that could be used for comics, video games, or animation. This course is intended to teach students how to use character design to tell a story and how to create unique and original characters. We will discuss shape language and how color impact a character’s design and create a wide variety of characters that can fit different roles in a story. Youth Ages 14-18

Introduction to Traditional Drawing is a class designed to help students learn the basics of observational drawing. We will utilize mostly pencils and colored pencils and practice using the Elements of Art to improve drawing skills. Youth Ages 14-18.

Junior Chef Courses

Students ages 8-13 need a guardian attending class with them. Students 14+ can attend without a guardian, with written consent.

You will learn how to make leavened breads (breads that rise!) using leavens such as yeast, baking soda, baking powders or even buttermilk. We will make breads like focaccia, pita, and country biscuits!

Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice choking rescue and CPR! This course includes friends and family CPR. Please note students do not get certified in CPR. Please bring your own lunch, lunch is not provided.

This course is intended to help you feel more confident in understanding a variety of vehicle systems. The class will be presentation followed by hands-on lab time. You will learn topics including fluids, tires, brakes and more, so that you may do it yourself when needed. This course will also help prepare you to discuss issues when your vehicle needs to be repaired.

Are you interested in learning how to weld? This is 3 week introductory welding course geared toward ages 14-17 year olds. Types of welding we’d be covering are week 1 SMAW (stick welding), week 2 GMAW( mig welding), week 3 TIG welding. We’ll cover basic mild steel and touch briefly into Stainless steel Tig welding the last week! Safety items needed would be, safety boots, safety glasses and welding gloves.
