Madison College set to celebrate grads at May 10 Commencement

Madison College’s May 10 Spring Commencement will celebrate a new class of skilled graduates set to bring their talents and industry expertise to the workforce.

The Madison College HPS Fire Program received a Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) grant to expand its NextGen Responders Academy to train youth firefighters. The $10,070 grant will help purchase firefighter turnout gear in smaller and larger-than-average sizes.

Madison College will partner with employers to meet the needs of a changing future workforce through the help of $1.38 million in Wisconsin Fast Forward Grants. The grants will provide training funds for Wisconsin’s in-demand manufacturing, healthcare, and construction industries.

Madison Board of Trustees selected Gold Hill Associates to assist in the search for the next Madison College president. President Jack Daniels, originally slated to retire on June 30, 2024, has extended his role through Dec. 31, 2024, to allow for the leadership transition.
